Set Up Your Organization on DEV

This takes about 5 minutes. Here's what to expect.

0

Check if your organization already exists

Someone on your team may have already created it. Search for your organization name to find out:

Already exists?

Ask the organization admin to invite you. Not sure who that is? Email yo@dev.to and we'll help sort it out.

No organization yet? Here's what to do.

Three steps, a few minutes, and you're live.

1

Create your personal DEV account

Head to dev.to/enter and sign up with GitHub, Google, email, or another provider. This is your personal account — use your own name (e.g. "richardhendricks"), not the company name. You'll create the organization in the next step.

Already have a DEV account? Skip to step 2.

2

Create the organization

Once signed in, go to dev.to/settings/organization/new. This is where you set up the org itself — name it after your company or project (e.g. "Pied Piper"), upload a logo, write a short description, and optionally add a call-to-action that appears on every post. Everything can be changed later.

3

Invite your team

Add team members by their DEV username, or share the organization's secret token so they can join themselves. There's no limit on members. Once they're in, anyone on the team can publish posts under the organization name.

Ready to get started?

You'll sign in (or create an account), then set up your organization.
